Irfan is a skilled, strategic, & pragmatic and solution-oriented lawyer with significant multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional experience working with commercial and residential owners, landlords, tenants, strata corporations and property managers in relation to real estate and housing related matters.

Irfan is passionate about all aspects of real estate and understands the importance of providing high quality, cost effective and practical advice to legal problems in an increasingly complex legal environment. Irfan grew up in Vancouver and attended the University of British Columbia graduating with distinction on the dean’s honor list obtaining a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English Literature. Irfan obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria where he was also part of the cooperative education program, the business law clinic and president of several university groups. As part of his legal education, Irfan attended the University of Oxford, St. Peter’s College – Oxford England and participated in the international intellectual property law program. Irfan was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2010 and previously worked with prominent law firms in Downtown Vancouver practising real estate law and as in-house counsel to one of North America’s largest real estate companies.

Irfan has significant experience providing legal advice to and representing clients in court. He has drafted pleadings, participated in examinations for discovery, conducted numerous full trials and otherwise been involved in the resolution of disputes in the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, the Appeal Court of British Columbia, and various tribunals including the Civil Resolution Tribunal, Residential Tenancy Branch, Employment Standards Tribunal and Human Rights Tribunal. Irfan is additionally very experienced with drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide array of legal agreements and documents including purchase and sale, management, construction, residential and commercial tenancy and strata agreements.

Irfan is actively involved in the community and strongly believes in giving back to the community. His volunteer involvement includes President of Progressive Housing Society, President of South Asian Law Students Association, Board Director of Greater Vancouver Home Building Association, Volunteer Lawyer at Access Pro Bono, Advisor at Junior Achievement BC, volunteer at Disabled Sailing Association, and judge at the BC Public Speaking and Debating Championships.
